Happy Chinese New year!

To celebrate CNY, I had a nice big family dinner! It was really great that we managed to get (almost completely) together. Lovely Liyani looked adorable with her crown and magic wand, but she was kinda cranky because she was feeling a bit ill. My cousin Tjon was teasing/playing with her and she was not having it at all. Princess Liyani kept trying to make him disappear with her magic wand and 'throwing' fairy dust ('ELFENSTOF!!') at him, it was hilarious!

Cold as ice

I really wanted to go iceskating on the pond in front of my house. Although the last time it froze this hard was ten years ago, strangely it seemed like the pond didn't have a thick enough layer of ice. Therefore I went to the Jaap Edenhal instead. Even though it's not natural ice and I can barely skate, it was still fun nonetheless.

Sushi Time

Dung, Lil, Lu, Zendy & I were finally able to meet altogether and have sushi! We went to Genroku, the sushi was okay, but as you can see, it could have been made better. I guess I shouldn't have too high expectations since it's 'all-you-can-eat'... We did get some softshell crab handrolls and fried oysters on the house, which was pretty nice.

No, it's not the title of Lil' Wayne's newest song haha. I present to you: Liyani with "Schudde met je bille":

Isn't she the cutest? Can't believe how big she is already (it's been a while since the last time I saw her). They say she looks a bit like me when I was little (supposedly I looked like her mother, my cousin Helen), but I'm certain she's cuter ;)

Poladroid

First of all: HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Hope everyone still has all their fingers attached ;) Lately, I've been obsessed with Poladroid, a very cool application that allows you to make your pictures look like Polaroids. It's the coolest thing ever! The application even mimics the sound of a real Polaroid camera, it spits your picture out and you have to wait for it to develop. You can even shake the picture to speed up the process! Since Polaroid has stopped the production of Polaroid films, this way you can still (sort of) have Polaroid pictures.
